1st TIMES School to be held in Hamburg
HAMBURG, JUNE 10th – 13th 2025
The 1st TIMES school will take place hosted by Max Planck Institute for the Structure and Dynamics of Matter (MPSD) on the Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY) campus in Hamburg, with a plan to visit the facility.
The Doctoral Candidates’ training will be focused on the theoretical methods and the related experimental techniques connected to their individual research project, with examples and ideas for applications. This will provide state-of-the-art background on the theoretical aspects, together with an overview on the placement of their research project in the scientific community.
At this school, experts from both the theoretical and the experimental community will be invited. A talk by Prof. Francesca Calegary, DESY will highlight the major experimental large-scale facilities, focused on ultrafast spectroscopy. In addition, an overview of the most used ab-initio codes for non-equilibrium dynamics will be also given (Prof. Angel Rubio, MPSD).
