At the last Workshop held in Belfast, participants had the opportunity to attend masterclasses and talks given by conference keynote speakers and experts in areas of theoretical and experimental physics.
Among the topics addressed, the following were highlighted:
- Ehrenfest dynamics (T. Todorov).
- Nonlinear optics from first principles (M. Grüning)
- Machine learning in computational chemistry (D. Wilkins)
- HPC simulations in condensed matter (D. Sangalli
- Defects in materials for quantum technologies (S. Achilli)
- Magnons in two-dimensional materials (A. Molina-Sánchez)
- Time-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy (P. Mai Dinh)
- (E. Perfetto)
- (U. di Givonannini)
The Workshop highlighted the growing relevance of out-of-equilibrium simulation in modern physics and its impact on multiple scientific disciplines.
Future perspectives
Following the success of the event, the TIMES network will meet twice in the coming weeks, at the event in Leuven (June 4-6, 2025) and in Hamburg (June 10-13, 2025), with the aim of further strengthening international cooperation and the training of new researchers.
